The T.F. Riggs FBLA chapter is proud to say they are again the largest chapter in the state of South Dakota with 64 members.  Our chapter was awarded a plaque Monday evening at the Spring Leadership Conference to commemorate this honor.

Matt Farris—1st in Banking and Financial Systems

Carl Morris—3rd in Banking & Financial Systems

Rika Beck—1st in Business Math, and 4th in Introduction to Business

Stephen Bollinger—2nd in Business Math

John Rounds—1st in Business Procedures, 2nd in Future Business Leaders, and 2nd in Job Inteview

Alex Lindholm—1st in CyberSecurity, 2nd in Database Design, 1st in Networking Concepts, 1st in Technology Concepts, and 1st in Visual Basic Programming

Teddy Jackson—3rd in CyberSecurity and 3rd in Networking Concepts

Drew Christensen—4th in Economics

Crystal Ortbahn—1st in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure

Bryce Siedschlaw—4th in Networking Concepts and 2nd in Visual Basic Programming

Casey Ortbahn—1st in Parliamentary Procedure

Waylon Waite—4th in Technology Concepts

 

Also placing in the following team events were

 

Zack Larson, Jessica Jones and Nikki Novak placing 2nd in Business Ethics, Jessica Smith and Kimberly Neyhart—5th in Community Service Project, and Carl Morris, Drew Christensen, and Matt Farris—2nd in Entrepreneurship, Casey Ortbahn, Jessica Jones, and Cassie Palmer—4th in Multimedia Project, Bryce Siedschlaw, Alex Lindholm, and Teddy Jackson—2nd in Website Development, and Waylon Waite, Amy Yost, and Lindsey Fairbairn—4th in Website Development.

 

Named Outstanding Members for this year were Zack Larson, Nikki Novak and Casey Ortbahn. 

 

Casey Ortbahn has been installed as the state parliamentarian on the SD State Board of FBLA for the coming year.

 

Qualifying to go to national competition in Chicago, IL this summer are Matt Farris, Carl Morris, Nikki Novak, Zack Larson, Jessica Jones, Rika Beck, Stephen Bollinger, John Rounds, Alex Lindholm, Teddy Jackson, Drew Christensen, Crystal Ortbahn, Bryce Siedschlaw and Casey Ortbahn.  Waylon Waite may possibly attend as an alternate.

 

 

Because of the outstanding performance of your Riggs FBLA chapter at conference this year, they bring home the 3rd place plaque in overall chapter performance. 

 

Lastly LeAnn Novak was named the outstanding professional member of the year for South Dakota FBLA.  Congratulations again on your outstanding performance.
