Students wishing to audition for the Spring Play "The Greek Mythology
Olympiaganza" should sign up for an audition time outside of Room 328. There are
parts for up to 65 students. (some roles may be doubled up) Scripts are
available to be checked out from Ms. Zakahi in Room 328. Auditions will be held
Feb 16, 17 & 18.
The German Club is selling walking tacos at the basketball games tonight and
Saturday. Come out and support the Govs, Lady Govs and the German Exchange
Program. We will be hosting students from Luenburg, Germany again in October,
let Ms. Peterson know if you are interested in hosting for this two week
exchange.
Buy your yearbook now for $30 before the February 20th price increase! Drop off
your check and order form to Mr. Cronin before or after school or you can order
online at www.shop.jostens.com
Seniors: remember the deadline to get you headshots to yearbook or inform your
photographer which to use is February 16th. Your school ID photo will be used in
the yearbook if your headshot is not received. If you need an extension, email
or talk to Mr. Cronin in Rm 322.
Attention anyone who is interested in participating in track and field this
year: There will be an informational meeting in the library on Monday, February
22nd at 2:55. If you are unable to attend this meeting because you are currently
in a winter sport, talk to Coach Larson ahead of time. Practice will start the
first week of March."
State Capitol Building will be open until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, 2/15 for those
students and families wishing to take pictures prior to King of Hearts. Please
enter via the north entrance of the building.
Attention Native American students: The Native American Journalism Conference
will take place this year at Crazy Horse Memorial April 19-23. If you are
interested in attending this conference, please pick up an application in the
office and get it to Mrs. Davis not later than FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19th. Email Mrs.
Davis for more information.
SENIORS REMIND YOUR PARENTS THAT PICTURES and MONEY DONATION IS NEEDED FOR THE
PARENT SENIOR PARTY, TURN THEM IN TO MRS. TIBBS IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.
The Oahe Electric Cooperative has two exciting youth trips planned for this
summer. One is called the “Road Trip” which is a 3 day excursion touring
different Power Cooperative facilities. The other is a trip to Washington, DC
for one week. For more information stop in the Guidance Office.
Riggs High Juniors: Those interested in attending the 31st Annual Youth Business
Adventure (YBA) program in June should contact Mrs. Ulmen in Room 108. The
deadline for applications is February 12, 2010. During YBA, you may obtain 2
college credits for under $100 for participation in the program. There is also
an opportunity to win a matched $500 college or technical institute scholarship.
