To FABC Members,
Riggs Band will be the band of the day at the State Girl's Basketball
tournament in Brookings this Saturday, March 14. Pierrecussion will also
perform on this day. The Band will leave at 7am Saturday morning for the
tournament. Pierrecussion performs during halftime of the second game that
day (which begins at 1:30 pm.)
Band Festival for grades 6 - 12 will be next Tuesday, March 17 (St.
Patrick's Day), at Riggs Theatre starting at 7:00 pm. The High School
Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Brass Choir, Jazz I, and Percussion ensemble
will be performing along with the Middle School Band.
The Freeport, Illinois High School Show Choir will be performing at Riggs
Theatre on Friday, March 20, 2009. (So far the concerts that Ms. Cromwell
and Ms. Amundson have brought to Pierre have been absolutely wonderful, and
I suspect the same of the Freeport Show Choir.)
Next FABC meeting is this coming Monday, March 16, at 7:00 pm in the Riggs
Band Room.
